Project Planning

I recently received a request to sew some girly burp cloths. Last year, I made a large stack of contoured burp cloths to give out as new baby gifts for the local MOPS group I attend. They were a huge hit, and I have since decided to start making them to sell. I was very excited when another MOPS member approached me about making a set of 6 for her niece.

So, yesterday I drove out to my favorite sewing store, and picked up some adorable pink and grey birdie fabric. Having two little boys, I get way too excited when I get the chance to make something pink and girly. I spend an unreasonable amount of time browsing the store to come to a decision. There are just so many beautiful options when it comes to sewing for a little girl!

I finally decided on three prints from the get together! collection by David Walker Studios for FreeSpirit: Flock of Birds, Birds with Flowers, and Hearts. And, one lovely grey snake skin print from the Backyard Baby collection by Patty Sloniger for Michael Miller.

Just look at those precious little birdies and flowers. So cute.

My favorite though is this one. So pink, so perfect for a sweet baby girl.

Stay tuned to see these lovely fabrics turned into burp cloths. I have enough fabric that I will add a couple sets of burp cloths to my etsy site for you to purchase as well!
